Important Update on Software Licensing Changes for Jaws, ZoomText, and Fusion Customers

To All our Valued Software Customers

The licensing model for JAWS, ZoomText, and Fusion software has changed. To keep your software up to date, you now have the following options available: Subscription and Perpetual License.

The main changes are highlighted below; please get in contact if you have any questions or need some clarity around the below points.

• Perpetual licenses are still available for purchase. If a current perpetual license is not on the current version or does not have an SMA, you will no longer have the option to upgrade to the latest version. The license can be switched to subscription mode, or a new perpetual license with an SMA can be purchased. If your current perpetual license is on version 2025, you can still buy an SMA.

• Subscriptions are available in 1-, 2-, or 3-year terms and always include software updates, security patches, and technical support. Subscription licenses and SMAs will no longer be version-based; they will be date-based. For example, if a 1-year subscription is purchased on 1 May 2026, it will expire on 30 April 2027.

If payment for the following year’s subscription is not received by the expiry date, the software will switch to 40-minute demo mode until the subscription is renewed. Once payment is made, the software will revert to the full version.

For 2- or 3-year subscription licenses, full payment is required at the time of purchase to lock in the discounted multi-year pricing.
